I can’t find these registry files on my computer. Have tried everything to remove this virus. MalwareBytes, Avira and Ad-Aware all say my computer is fine and 0 problems to worry about, but the re-directing continues. I’ve even installed a website blocker add-on for Firefox and have been adding the sites the pop up after I get re-directed, but since these sites have new addresses all the time, I could be adding new sites to the blocker for ever. Any ideas?
Check your DNS settings. I think it got partially installed and it now queries their “bad” DNS whenever you do web browsing. Usually it should be set to some automatic setting, unless your ISP has specific settings they’d like you to put in. That’s what it was with my wife’s computer: I saw entries in under the DNS server that I didn’t put in.
I tried this safe mode thing I’m I suppose to delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Security tool and all of the other HKEY’s, because that’s all that came up?
