If you can remove flv toolbar completely, then there is no way to install mbam. But, if you are not yet certain with your manual removal, installing the free mbam is necessary. After installing, run a scan and delete identified malware. Then you can uninstall the program anytime you want.

Hello Beth, and thanks for your comments. I have done what you said, which is the same as what FLV say, and I have had no luck. If I uninstall my Firefox, will I lose the FLV that way? And will any of my settings be affected? Many thanks, Glenn

Thanks Beth, the Mac uninstall did not work at first. Then I click/ held the mouse over the ‘uninstall’ button longer, and it worked — except for the annoying page sized ads. I removed all cookies not honest enough to use associated website names, and then some. Some cookies were clearly for the annoying ads. When these were deleted, the last of this useless annoyance went away.

    thanks again !
